Ahead of the debut trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange on Jimmy Kimmel Live later on tonight, we have this very cool first teaser poster featuring Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme engaged in some kind of mystical endeavour.

Strange is depicted here in his meditation chamber, also known as his Sanctum Santorum, which will no doubt play a pretty large part in building the character’s mythos. After all, the movie marks Marvel Studios’ first foray into the magical realm of the MCU that’s been so prevalent in the comics for many years.

The very first tease of this actually occurred in Ant-Man, when it was implied that Scott lang entered a completely new dimension/reality when he shrank down to a beyond microscopic level. How Marvel will continue to explore this new territory in Scott Derrickson’s upcoming film remains to be seen, but we’re certainly intrigued to learn more.

Doctor Strange is set for release on November 4th and also stars Chiwetel Ejiofur, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.
