Star Fox Zero Launch Trailer Brings Fox And Co. Out Of Retirement

Nintendo has released the launch trailer for Star Fox Zero ahead of its release on April 22, setting up the galactic stage for the war between the Star Fox crew and series antagonist Andross. You know who we mean; the guy who's just a giant face with two equally huge hands that loves to terrorize Fox McCloud and the rest of his crew.

The trailer also gives us another look at how the Wii U GamePad will interact with the game, which includes the ability to use its on-board screen as a giant crosshairs for precision targeting. The various forms that the Star Fox crew’s Arwing vehicles can assume get some screen time too – the most reassuring sign yet that gameplay will be varied enough to encourage repeated playthroughs.

Along with Star Fox Zero, Nintendo recently announced Project Guard, a spin-off title of sorts that can be bought together with Star Fox Zero for $60. Alternatively, both games are available to buy separately for $50 and $15 respectively. As of now, the only way to get your hands on a physical copy of Project Guard is to buy the $60 bundle.
