The Technomancer, a new sci-fi role-playing game set on Mars, now has a detailed gameplay trailer that introduces you to the heart of the deep RPG experience. The clip also gives us a look at the universe and story of the game, with the narrator setting the scene for a tense affair.
You’ll play as an apprentice Technomancer named Zachariah, who represents one of the powerful corporations warring for the most precious resource on the red planet: water. The Technomancers are formidable warriors, able to harness electrical powers that are channeled through various implants.
The conflict in the narrative will take you on a journey across Mars, where each decision you make bears major consequences. The Technomancer is a role-playing experience at its core, starting with the very first character creation screens. Here, you’ll design and develop you character’s early stages, with progression available as you gather experience through the forty-odd hours of quests.
The upgrades will tie in to 4 skill trees under 3 different combat stances and your technomancer powers. These will help you face the many dangers of Mars, as enemies include other human survivors and mutants as well as the numerous hybrid creatures bioengineered by the first human settlers.
The Technomancer is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 21st.
