As one of the Four Horsemen imbued with ancient power, Alexandra Shipp’s mercurial Storm looks set to play an instrumental role in next month’s X-Men: Apocalypse, and during a recent Twitter Q&A, the actress revealed the ways in which her version of Ororo Munroe differs from that of Halle Berry’s.

Not only does Apocalypse change Storm in the visual sense, but Shipp went so far as to say that moviegoers will be laying eyes on “a completely different Storm” in exactly a month’s time. When one Twitter user quizzed the actress about the younger version of the fan-favorite mutant, Shipp responded as so:

“Well, I can tell you one thing okay, this Storm’s got problems, alright? She’s living on the street, its like real rude, like, it’s a completely different Storm, like you’re seeing Storm from the beginning, and that’s like whaaa.”

Of course, not until the release of X-Men: Apocalypse will we be able to gauge Shipp’s description of a younger, more troubled mutant. Nevertheless, if it makes for a more emphatic and nuanced rendition of the character, consider us on board.

X-Men: Apocalypse is slated to light up cinema screens near and far when Bryan Singer’s conclusive blockbuster drops on May 27.
