Put together with early gameplay footage, the video introduces a dynamic cover system that will demand much more of a fluid approach than the attritional nature of similar experience. As the narrator talks about the various levels of sturdy cover available in the game, we see both hero and enemy blasting their way through thick lead pipes and stacked crates to expose weaknesses. Taking cowardly squats behind cover is clearly not a flawless strategy here.

As well as destructible cover, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr features a host of other interactive objects in the environment. Giant columns can be crumbled to crush hidden enemies, and combustible barrels or tanks can be ignited to cause devastating explosions. This is clearly going to be an action-packed affair.

There’s no confirmed release date for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr at present, but we do know that the game is expected to be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
