Former Swedish House Mafioso Sebastian Ingrosso released a new solo track this week titled “Dark River (Festival Version),” reminding us once again why he’s one of the best producers in the game today.
“Dark River” opens with a driving house beat, with steadily building synths and risers leading up to the energetic dance sections. Taking inspiration from future house, Ingrosso delivers hard hitting offbeat bass stabs and relentless percussion that saturate the drops.
The breakdown, meanwhile, features some unexpected acoustic guitar elements and a whistled melody alongside a vocal section, offering plenty of diversity to the song and giving dancers some brief reprieve from the energetic drops.
