Skrillex And DJ Snake’s Upcoming Collaboration Sounds Massive

It's about time the worlds of these two superstar DJs crashed into each other. Skrillex and DJ Snake have each left considerable marks on contemporary electronic music independently of one another, so it's no surprise that news of a collaboration between both artists would make the EDM community stand at attention.

The as-yet-unnamed ID first made an appearance during Skrillex and DJ Snake’s famous back-to-back set at Holy Ship! earlier in the year. DJ Snake later previewed it on Snapchat, and the video was then uploaded to YouTube by the user SkrillexNews.

For its ambient vocal samples and layered melodies, the first part of the track sounds as sublime as what you might expect from a collaboration between both artists. However, the high-pitched trap drop that follows clashes somewhat with the rest of the arrangement in my opinion.

A rip of Skrillex and DJ Snake’s unreleased collaboration can be heard in the SoundCloud player above. Now that they’ve begun teasing the track on social media, it’s safe to expect that they’ll officially release it sometime in the next few weeks as well.
