With longer nights on the horizon, players in the Sun Eclipse event will be tasked with trying to kill 2,500,000 Volatiles – the game’s most fearsome, night-dwelling enemies. Reaching this group goal within the time limit will award you an exclusive outfit for Kyle Crane in the game while all participants will also get a special weapon docket just for taking part.

Speaking of the event in a press release, Producer Tymon Smektała explained how the event would kick off:

We wanted to give players more opportunities to kill Volatiles. We’re making the night in the game twice as long during the event, so it’s easier to reach the goal. It might be harder to survive, though!

Check out the trailer for the event at the top of this page and get yourself prepared to fight through the night with Dying Light: The Following‘s community.
