Today, Slushii released a new seven track EP titled “Brain Freeze.” The effort features its fair share of previously heard material, but that doesn’t detract from the quality of the overall product. Part of the formula for Slushii’s success lies in a singular vision towards branding, and this consistency lends itself well to the new release.

A lot of EDM releases tend to feel scattered, but “Brain Freeze” feels like a cohesive mini-album, drawing on future bass, chip-tune influences and a generally chilled out mood. It’s no wonder Marshmello has taken the fellow mystery producer under his wing. If this EP is any indication of what we can expect moving forward, then there are certainly big things in store for Slushii over the next few months.
