Released across consoles and PC on May 19, Bethesda has acknowledged the performance issues that have since reared their head within Fallout 4‘s Far Harbor expansion.

According to an official blog post, the developer is now “actively working on more improvements” for the recently-released DLC, admitting that although Far Harbor is currently running at a smoother rate over its pre-release beta version, there are still improvements to be made.

“We made optimizations based on the Far Harbor beta feedback, but understand some people are experiencing issues,” Bethesda said. “We are actively working on more improvements.”

Early adopters of the content pack have pointed to issues with frame rate, largely due to the heavy use of atmosphere and particle effects in the DLC’s foggy areas. Alas, Bethesda is yet to nail down a timeline for those fixes, but we’ll update this post as soon as more information comes to light.

Acting as the third part of Fallout 4‘s Season Pass content, Far Harbor follows on the heels of both Automatron and Wasteland Workshop. Expect our review of the RPG’s latest DLC to published imminently.
