Justin Martin Crushes BBC Radio 1 After Hours Mix

Over a month has passed since Dirtybird Records’ chief export Justin Martin released his sophomore album Hello Clouds, and dance music tastemakers are still singing its praises. It’s even resonated with the sophisticated tastes of those across the pond, as BBC Radio 1 enlisted the San Fransisco DJ/producer for an installment of their After Hours Mix series.

Justin Martin’s After Hours Mix originally aired on Pete Tong’s radio show on April 22nd. The track list features songs from the likes of Maribou State, Adana Twins and Billy Kenny, and closes out with the last two titles from Hello Clouds.

As with much of his mixes and productions, Justin Martin’s After Hours Mix combines the ghettotech grit of other Dirtybird releases with distinct, tasteful melody. Being that he’s no stranger to experimenting with electronic music styles outside of house and techno, he’s used to riding a fine line between two juxtaposed worlds.
