For his remix, Quintino picks up the tempo to bring “Light It Up” into high energy house territory, crafting a markedly different vibe compared to the original version. Massive kicks and warped trumpet samples carve out a pummeling rhythm throughout the drops, while Nyla’s vocals are recycled sporadically throughout the production for familiarity.

While the big room style has lost a lot of its excitement as the sound became more generic and overused, Quintino earns props with his take on “Light It Up” for delivering an original version that bears little resemblance to its source material. Either way, the new remix will no doubt be a success on the dance floor.
