This Bolivian landscape is set to be Ubisoft’s largest action-adventure open world to date, and Ghost Recon Wildlands will give gamers immense levels of freedom during play. Not only will you be able to explore and journey where you see fit, but you’ll also have freedom over the future of the ambient world with decisions you make having impacts on the Faction Influence System.

This South American country may look like a paradise in places, but beneath that beauty lies a deadly darkness. The trailer’s official synopsis paints a pretty grim picture:

The Santa Blanca drug cartel has transformed the beautiful South American country of Bolivia into a perilous narco-state, leading to lawlessness, fear, and rampant violence. The citizens of Bolivia have been plagued by the criminal influence of the cartel, but all hope is not lost. Now only the Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, can save the country from complete collapse.

Armed with their tactical prowess and the latest weapons technology, the Ghosts will have to go deep behind enemy lines to complete their most dangerous mission to date. They’ll have to annihilate the alliance between the corrupted government and the cartel before the evil rises above Bolivia to become a major threat across the globe.

Check out the trailer above for a look at some brand new footage from Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, and stay tuned for more information to be announced at E3 next month.
