See How They Did The Quicksilver Scene In X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men: Apocalypse has proven to be pretty divisive so far. Some people love it, while others are calling it the worst film in the First Class trilogy. One thing that everyone can agree on though is that the "Quicksilver Scene," while not as well done as the one in Days of Future Past, is still a definite highlight.

Featuring the mutant trying to save the children at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, it’s another impressive piece of filmmaking from Bryan Singer and co. and now, we get to see how it was all put together thanks to the above video. While fairly brief, it does offer up a bit of an idea as to how a sequence like this is made, and it certainly looks pretty complex.

The Blu-ray special features will likely dive deeper into this, but just from what’s shown here you’ll no doubt have a much greater appreciation for what the filmmakers pulled off after giving it a watch. X-Men: Apocalypse as a whole might have been pretty mediocre, but the Quicksilver scene was a lot of fun and it’s definitely something we’ll be revisiting in the future.
