Major Lazer Joins Ape Drums On “The Way We Do This”

Houston based producer Ape Drums has teamed up with Major Lazer and reggae vocalist Busy Signal to deliver a dancehall infused single titled "The Way We Do This." Ape Drums had previously been featured on the remix collection for Major Lazer's "Jet Blue Jet" in addition to working with Diplo on "Duttiest Wine," so both parties already quite familiar with one another.

Busy Signal’s auto-tuned reggae vocals feature heavily throughout “The Way We Do This,” cementing the new tune as a dancehall anthem. Major Lazer provides some production assistance for the track, bringing their signature high energy island vibes to the mix.  There’s a bit of moombahton influence thrown into the track for good measure too, as staggered beats and blippy synths carve out an enticing rhythm.

Ape Drums and Major Lazer prove to be a worthy combination, and Busy Signal’s vocals take the collaboration to further heights.

“The Way We Do This” is now available via Mad Decent, and you can grab the new single here.
