Report: LEGO Dimensions To Get A Year 2 Expansion; Includes Harry Potter, Teen Titans And More

LEGO Dimensions is about recreate a bunch of beloved film and games characters in blocky form as part of a 'Year 2' expansion, according to Press-Start (via VideoGamer). In line with a short teaser video released yesterday by Warner Bros. (above) featuring Batman rhetorically asking the camera "what took you so long?", followed by a caption that reads "what happens next?", it seems the publisher is gearing-up to announce something big on June 9.

So, what sorts of collaborations and crossovers can we expect to see as part of this so-called Year 2? A rather eclectic mix, it seems. Press-Start believes the likes of Sonic The Hedgehog, Harry Potter (which have been rumored before) and the Powerpuff Girls will be just some of the stars of the expansion.

A full list can be seen below:

  • Sonic The Hedgehog
  • Harry Potter
  • The Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them
  • Adventure Time
  • Ghostbusters Reboot
  • Mission Impossible
  • Teen Titans
  • The Goonies
  • Powerpuff Girls

LEGO Dimensions released for consoles and PC last year, and lets players visit characters from famous franchises in their own worlds through a magic portal. To date, the likes of Doctor Who, Back To The Future and Valve’s Portal games have been immortalized in-game.

Is there a collaboration you’d love to see that’s not listed above? Let us know your dream in the comments below.
