As far as leaks and rumors go, this most recent one pertaining to a potential Dead Rising 4 announcement at this year’s E3 looks and sounds pretty convincing. This Gen Gaming has obtained a series of screenshots that appear to show the game’s title screen, box art and even an in-game image that presumably depict the player character in an abandoned courtyard with a military-grade jeep in the background.

Said to be currently in development at Capcom Vancouver, Dead Rising 4 will reportedly be a total remake of the original game rather than a sequel to Dead Rising 3 chronologically, and will once again star Frank West as the player character. Moreover, a four-player co-op mode will be included that enables players to use the likes of Chuck and Nick from past entries.

As with its predecessor, it also appears that Dead Rising 4 is going to be exclusive to the Xbox One as far as consoles are concerned, but will see a release on Windows 10.

For further details on the leak, you can head here. In the likely event that this all turns out to be accurate, what are your thoughts on another sequel to Capcom’s zombie series? Dead Rising 3 turned out to be a great launch day title for the Xbox One, but it wasn’t without its faults. Can Capcom innovate enough to warrant a sequel? Time will tell.
