Now that the original ‘Busters have all but retired from the scene, Sony has taken up the supernatural mantle and is now, at the time of writing, little over one month away from unleashing Paul Feig’s fresh-faced Ghostbusters onto the moviegoing masses.

And so, in celebration of all things Ghostbusters Day, the studio has premiered a new featurette for Feig’s reboot, which sees Erin (Kristen Wiig), Jillian (Kate McKinnon), Abby (Melissa McCarthy) and Patty (Leslie Jones) hitch a ride in the Ecto-1. Landing hot on the heels of yesterday’s international trailer, there isn’t much in the way of new footage included in the sizzle reel, but it’s a concise reminder of the entertaining chemistry that Feig has established between his own fantastic four.

What’s more, as this is June 8, the latest installment of Jimmy Kimmel Live will unite Ghostbusters old and new for a special episode, ensuring that the likes of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts will be rubbing shoulders with the newbies, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.

Expect those fresh-faced ‘Busters to fire up the Proton Packs when Paul Feig’s rebooted Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited debut on July 15. Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Neil Casey and Michael K. Williams also star.

Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Yates (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
