Sharon Stone Drops A Hot Clue Regarding Her Secret Marvel Role

Sharon Stone got the internet all hot and bothered recently when she made sly mention of an upcoming part in a Marvel movie. The actress referred to it as "a wee role" that, naturally, sparked tons of speculation. Did the "wee" mean it was small in length, like a fleeting cameo or background appearance? Or was it to be taken literally as in, she's probably playing Janet Van Dyne aka the original Wasp in Ant-Man And The Wasp?

Sharon Stone got the internet all hot and bothered recently when she made sly mention of an upcoming part in a Marvel movie. The actress referred to it as “a wee role” that, naturally, sparked tons of speculation. Did the “wee” mean it was small in length, like a fleeting cameo or background appearance? Or was it to be taken literally as in, she’s probably playing Janet Van Dyne aka the original Wasp in Ant-Man And The Wasp?

Neither of those questions will be answered today, as the mystery surrounding her performance grows ever deeper. As part of an AARP profile that also discusses Jane Fonda and Alfre Woodard, Stone’s part in the as-yet unnamed Marvel movie gets a mention that’s got folks scratching their heads:

Meanwhile, Woodard and Stone are about to become very familiar to the highly sought-after comic-book-film crowd: Woodard’s character is a villain in Marvel’s anticipated Netflix series Luke Cage; Stone has been cast as a superhero — she’ll only reveal that her secret power is heat — in a yet-to-be-named movie, also for Marvel.

It’s hardly a huge revelation, yet it seems to rule out the possibility of Stone joining Ant-Man And The Wasp. That’s a bit disheartening, as the idea of an unofficial Basic Instinct reunion with her and Michael Douglas would quite frankly, be bananas.

As for who she might be playing, lest we forget this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe we’re talking about. With hundreds of characters at their disposal, boasting an array of superpowers, it’s tough to narrow this one down based on that one solitary hint. That’s sure not going to stop the interwebs from having a try, though.

Tell us, what do you think of Sharon Stone’s secret Marvel role? Who could she be playing? And moreover, who would you like to see her tackle? Let us know in the comments below.
