The core plot revolves around “five carnival workers who are taken hostage and forced to play a game of life or death called “31”, during which they have 12 hours to try to survive against an array of madmen.” It’s a simple premise, but one that has the potential for a ton of bloody fun.

As a big fan of the director, I’ve been looking forward to 31 for a while now and judging by what we get to see in the tantalizing tease above, it seems like we’re in store for another exciting nightmare that only someone like Rob Zombie can dream up. Be warned, though: if you’ve got a weak stomach, you’re definitely going to want to avoid this one.

Starring Sheri Moon Zombie,Malcolm McDowell, Meg Foster, Elizabeth Daily, Sandra Rosko, and Richard Brake, 31 opens in theaters on October 21st, 2016.
