We finally have the first trailer for the upcoming David O Russell film, The Fighter. The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale and is a boxing film that tells the true story of Dicky Eklund and “Irish” Micky Ward. Early screenings have generated a lot of Oscar buzz and with a solid cast and Russell behind the camera, this is definitely a film to keep your eye on during Oscar season.
The Fighter is a film that I’ve been looking forward to for a while and after watching the trailer, I can safely say that I am still very eager to see it. It looks like Cinderella Man (the Russell Crowe film) but better.
