X-Men: Apocalypse Star Evan Peters Wants A Deadpool/Quicksilver Team-Up Movie

When it was revealed a few years ago that Fox were introducing their own version of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the vast majority of fans assumed that the studio had crammed him into the movie at the last minute in a bid to beat Marvel Studios to the punch (who had at the time already revealed that the speedster would be part of Avengers: Age of Ultron).

When it was revealed a few years ago that Fox were introducing their own version of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the vast majority of fans assumed that the studio had crammed him into the movie at the last minute in a bid to beat Marvel Studios to the punch (who had at the time had already revealed that the speedster would be part of Avengers: Age of Ultron).

Fast forward a few months and Quicksilver’s look was widely ridiculed when the first image of Evan Peters in costume was revealed, and as a result, no one was expecting the character to steal the show when the movie was released. He did end up doing just that, of course (and then did so again in X-Men: Apocalypse last month), and it’s fair to say that everyone is on board with this version Quicksilver now.

It’s understandable, then, that in a recent interview, Peters was asked about the possibility of a spinoff for the hero.

“Oh my god, I don’t know. It would take three years to shoot, wouldn’t it? Yeah I don’t know. I would love to do that.”

When it comes to X-Men likely to get their own movies, Quicksilver is probably somewhere at the bottom of the list, and Peters makes a good point about how difficult it would be to make that a reality due to the time consuming process involved in portraying his powers. However, it turns out that the actor wouldn’t mind a team-up with Deadpool.

“I would like to see a Deadpool/Quicksilver movie. I think that would be really fun.”

Seeing those two share the screen would certainly be fun, but it’s doubtful given the messed up timeline of the X-Men Universe. Still, with the Deadpool sequel on the way and X-Force rumoured to follow shortly after, there’s at least a slim possibility these two will cross paths somewhere down the line.
