Today, the studio has released a new plot synopsis for each film, and while neither are terribly revealing, there are a few interesting tidbits to point out here.

First up is Doctor Strange:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

As for Guardians, here’s what the studio has revealed:

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

So, while the Doctor Strange synopsis doesn’t really tell us a whole lot that we don’t already know, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 plot outline is a bit more intriguing. The tease of “fan-favorite characters from the classic comics” is interesting, leaving us to wonder who exactly Marvel could be throwing into the film. We’ve already heard about several of the new faces we’ll be seeing, but surely the studio has a few secrets still left up their sleeve, right?

With Comic-Con set to do down next month, we’ll be hearing a lot more about both Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the near future. Until then, though, let us know which movie you’re most looking forward to by commenting below.
