AM Only has announced a new dance music oriented radio show on SiriusXM’s Electric Area. Dubbed The Cookout, the new show will feature a weekly guest, who will serve as the Chef that curates a menu of music, with the intent of exposing listeners to sounds both new and familiar.

The Cookout is set to launch Tuesday June 28 at 9pm EST, with Rudimental and Gorgon City scheduled to debut the show with a back to back DJ set. The show will run every Tuesday at the same time slot, and the coming weeks will see some major talent curating the show. Jauz is set to appear on July 5, with Just Blaze following up on July 12 and AC Slater Presents Night Bass slated for July 19.

Talking about The Cookout’s goals, SiriusXM’s VP of Dance Programming Geronimo stated, “There will be much to love and nothing predictable about the play list. SiriusXM has built its Electronic Dance Music reputation on playing host to the new and the next, and we are doing that again with The Cookout.

With several notable DJs already slated to appear on the new show, The Cookout is looking like a real treat for dance music fans.
