Following in the footsteps of Heath Ledger’s Oscar winning performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight is a daunting task for any actor, even a fellow Academy Award holder like Jared Leto. However, the thesp has jumped in feet first with Suicide Squad to deliver what’s definitely shaping up to be a very exciting new take on the Clown Prince of Crime.
This week, a brief new video has surfaced (from the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Cut) which offers up a fresh look at the villain in action. The fact that Leto went method for Suicide Squad has been well publicized – especially as his behaviour didn’t sit too well with his fellow cast members – and he looks very comfortable in the footage we see above. Just how significant his role in the movie will be remains to be seen, but chances are that he’ll steal the show if even this brief new preview is any indication.
