Bethesda Forced To Delay Fallout 4 Mods On PlayStation 4

Despite already being available on both PC and Xbox One, Bethesda seems to be experiencing some issues when it comes to bringing mods to the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4, having now confirmed via Twitter that they've had to delay the arrival of the service until a later date. Despite already being available on both PC and Xbox One, Bethesda seems to be experiencing some issues when it comes to bringing mods to the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4, having now confirmed via Twitter that they’ve had to delay the arrival of the service until a later date.

Bethesda hasn’t specified what it is exactly that’s holding the update back on Sony’s console, but reports suggest (via VideoGamer) that the file size cap on mod downloads for PS4 are limited to 900mb, a stark contrast to the 2GB limit on Xbox One. Gamerant has also reported previously that the delay may be due, in part, to issues surrounding memory and performance.

It’s not all bad news for PlayStation 4 owners, however. Last week saw the release of the Wasteland Contraptions DLC, with two more expansions – Vault-Tec Workshop and Nuka World – set to launch on all platforms throughout the rest of the year. For a better idea of what to expect with each, see Bethesda’s own descriptions below.

Build a brighter future underground with the all-new Vault-Tec Workshop. Create a massive Vault and attract new Dwellers using pre-war industrial kits complete with retro-nostalgic furniture, lighting, and art. Even change and customize the look of your inhabitants with new barbershops and cosmetic surgery stations. And like every good Overseer, run Vault-Tec approved experiments on your Dwellers to learn what makes an ideal citizen. Vault-Tec has given you the tools, the rest is up to you!

Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom and the Galactic Zone. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures and more. Enjoy the ride!
