Soon after PlayStation VR pre-orders first opened earlier this year, the sheer demand for Sony’s head-mounted device took everyone by surprise, with launch stock selling out left, right and center.

But if you’ve yet to secure a launch unit, don’t fret; as promised Sony is rolling out a new – and seemingly final – “summer wave” of PlayStation VR pre-orders via GameStop. Starting tomorrow, June 30 at 10am Eastern Time, users will be able to reserve their hardware, though it’s unclear if the retailer will be offering the standalone unit ($400), its launch bundle ($500), or both.

One thing’s for certain: Sony has warned users that there will likely be limited stock of PlayStation VR in and around the platform’s October release window. That largely comes down to the fact that, as this is a new piece of hardware, it’s difficult for Sony to “predict what user uptake is going to be.”

“We have growing confidence that we’ll be supply constrained with this product, but we’ll do our very best to meet demand,” PlayStation president Andrew House said earlier this month. “Virtual reality is a medium that’s in its infancy. With such a nascent, very new form of storytelling, it’s difficult to predict what user uptake is going to be.”

PlayStation VR is penciled in for launch across North America and Europe on October 13. Will you be reserving your headset when Sony’s summer wave of pre-orders open tomorrow, June 30?
