Thor: Ragnarok started shooting on Australia’s Gold Coast on July 4th, and star Chris Hemsworth has been keeping fans updated via his social media accounts. The first of said updates is a video of him arriving on the set as he reprises the role of the God of Thunder, and while there’s nothing too revealing here, he’s clearly excited about being back.
That’s understandable, too, especially as Thor was left out of Captain America: Civil War. In fact, the last time we saw the hero was at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. His last solo outing also left us with a lot of unanswered questions, especially as Thor: The Dark World ended with Loki sitting on the throne disguised as Odin.
Not a huge amount is known about Thor: Ragnarok as of right now (more is expected to be revealed at Comic-Con later this month), but we have heard that Hela is the villain and the movie will adapt elements of the beloved Planet Hulk storyline. That’s because the Jade Giant will have a fairly large supporting role here, turning the threequel into a team-up movie of sorts.
The impressive cast of this highly anticipated Phase 3 release also includes Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban. Thor: Ragnarok is currently set to be released on November 3rd, 2017.
