Less than month out from the arrival of Suicide Squad and Warner Bros.’ marketing campaign is really beginning to reach its crescendo. We’ve seen scintillating clips and numerous TV spots, but today, half a dozen new images hail from Entertainment Weekly that each offer up a colorful look at David Ayer’s Task Force X in motion.

From a peek inside The Joker’s garish supercar to an action shot of the Suicide Squad suited and booted, there’s plenty to dissect, though it’s really Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime and Harley Quinn – the wicked temptress brought to life with glee by Margot Robbie – that feature heavily.

That’s a trait we fully expect to carry over to the full film, too, and just yesterday the Aussie actress revealed that Harley simply “loves causing mayhem and destruction. She’s incredibly devoted to the Joker. They have a dysfunctional relationship, but she loves him anyway. She used to be a gymnast — that’s her skill set when fighting.”

Outside of Robbie and Leto, Task Force X encompasses Will Smith, House of Cards star Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. There’s also roles for Viola Davis and Ben Affleck, who holds a small cameo as the Caped Crusader.

Riding the crest of a wave of goodwill – one that has seemingly placed David Ayer’s flick tip-top of social media’s most-wanted listSuicide Squad has been pegged to arrive on August 5.
