With a sprinkle of cutesy animation, a smidgen of food-related puns and a generous dollop of adult-oriented humor, Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan have cooked up an R-rated animation that is unlike any other.

Entitled Sausage Party, the bizarre feature was initially dreamed up by the comedic duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and caught just about everyone’s eye earlier this year following its premiere at South By Southwest. Now, less than two weeks out from its theatrical release, Sony Pictures has rolled out the cheeky final trailer that is packed to the brim with food-related shenanigans.

If the wacky premise isn’t enough to draw you in, the star-studded lineup ought to at least pique your curiosity. Among the voice cast is Rogen himself, joined by a familiar lineup of old cohorts that includes James Franco, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Salma Hayek, Edward Norton, David Krumholtz, Nick Kroll, Michael Cera, Craig Robinson, Bill Hader, Anders Holm, Paul Rudd and Alien: Covenant star Danny McBride.

Humans are the true nemesis in the twisted, wickedly funny Sausage Party, and you’ll be able to revel in the shenanigans when Vernon and Tiernan’s feature bows in theaters on August 12.

Frank (Seth Rogen) the sausage, Brenda (Kristen Wiig) the hot dog bun, Teresa Taco (Salma Hayek) and Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton) can’t wait to go home with a happy customer. Soon, their world comes crashing down as poor Frank learns the horrifying truth that he will eventually become a meal. After warning his pals about their similar fate, the panicked perishables devise a plan to escape from their human enemies.
