Skrillex Builds On Rap Catalogue By Teaming Up With Rick Ross On “Purple Lamborghini”

Skrillex is no stranger to the world of hip-hop, but his latest collaboration may well be his most hard-hitting to date. The bass music icon has most notably joined forces with A$AP Mob constituents of late, but lyrical contributions by Rick Ross give "Purple Lamborghini" markedly more grit.

In addition to somewhat predictable gangsta rap production hallmarks, “Purple Lamborghini” features a drop with metallic, flitting bass wobbles for unmistakeable crossover appeal. Rick Ross belts out anthemic verses over the top, and samples previously used in tracks from Skrillex’s early discography are hidden like easter eggs in a few parts of the arrangement.

Since the full Suicide Squad soundtrack will come out on August 5th, there’s a strong chance the full video will arrive by then as well.
