The full trailer for the seventh season of The Walking Dead is set to debut during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel later on today at 1pm, but in the meantime, AMC has released this teaser as a reminder of the 11 potential victims that were lined up in the closing moments of the season 6 finale – and more importantly, the grisly end that awaits (at least) one of ’em.
The promo brings us back to the twisted game of eeny meeny miny moe that Negan played in order to select the unfortunate member of Rick’s group that he was planning to introduce to his lethal barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, Lucille. It’s basically just this recent batch of character posters in motion, and most likely won’t feature in the season 7 premiere in any way – but, we’re bound to get some actual footage from the show during the panel later on.
Will we be able to figure out who met their maker by taking note of the characters that don’t appear in the trailer? There’s a good chance we’ll at least get a few more clues, so be sure to keep an eye out for it when it drops later today.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 7.
