Warner Bros. Releases First Wonder Woman Trailer At Comic-Con

As expected, Warner Bros. has just released the very first trailer for Wonder Woman during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. At nearly 3 minutes in length, it's an incredible look at the iconic hero's upcoming solo film and should no doubt put to rest those fears that the DCEU may be in trouble, which stemmed from its shaky start with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

As expected, Warner Bros. has just released the very first trailer for Wonder Woman during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. At nearly 3 minutes in length, it’s an incredible look at the iconic hero’s upcoming solo film and should no doubt put to rest those fears that the DCEU may be in trouble, which stemmed from its shaky start with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film is set to dive into the origin story of the character, with the plot taking place during WWI, where Diana Prince’s life is upended “when an American pilot crash lands and tells of the conflict happening in the outside world, which spurs her into action.”

Speaking in a recent interview about the character, star Gal Gadot had this to say:

“When Patty and I had our creative conversations about the character, we realized that Diana can still be a normal woman, one with very high values, but still a woman,” the actress says. “She can be sensitive. She is smart and independent and emotional. She can be confused. She can lose her confidence. She can have confidence. She is everything. She has a human heart.”

We’re not even sure where to start when it comes to the footage here, as it seriously looks amazing. The action is fantastic and Gadot absolutely owns the role (though we knew she’d do a great job ever since seeing her debut in BvS). Furthermore, while the film does look a bit dark overall, there’s certainly going to be a bit of humor sprinkled in here as well, which is nice to see.

All in all, the first trailer has left us more than impressed, and I think it’s safe to say that the movie has just shot up right to the top of our most anticipated list.

Written by Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg, Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui, and hits theaters on June 2, 2017.
