It all looks very Inception-esque, and even the dramatic score playing over the trailer calls back to Christopher Nolan’s 2010 film. However, there still seems to be enough here to make this a complete game changer for comic book movies, one that will no doubt have great ramifications for the MCU moving forward.

In addition to the magical/alternate realms stuff, the footage also gives us a few new looks at Mads Mikkelsen’s villain and expands a bit on the mentor/mentee relationship going on between Strange and The Ancient One, which looks to be a big part of the film. It’s all rather exciting, and with the flick not too far off now, we’re certainly eager to see what Marvel’s been cooking up here.

Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen, Rachael McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, and Amy Landecker. The film is set to arrive in theaters on November 4th.
