As expected, humour is very much the name of the game here, and this is definitely the most enjoyable and humorous trailer to come out of the San Diego based event this year. While there are lots of jokes aimed comic book fans, the pint-sized Caped Crusader’s antics are great to watch regardless of how well you know of his adventures in the source material.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: The LEGO Batman Movie. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Based on what we see in the trailer, his efforts to do that will include Robin in a big way, something which is going to result in a lot of awkwardness for the Dynamic Duo. Still, with so many serious superhero movies filling up theaters these days, it’s going to be refreshing to enjoy an adaptation which is just 100% fun.

Also starring Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Zach Galifianakis, The LEGO Batman Movie is set to be released on February 10th, 2017.
