The new remix of “Rio” is nearly identical to the original version, save for the inclusion of a rap verse courtesy of Macklemore. As one of the strongest cuts off III, the new take on the track is a welcome addition, despite being closer to a vocal edit than a proper remix. Fans of Macklemore will certainly appreciate his efforts here as well, and his inclusion definitely increases the song’s marquee value.

“Rio” featuring Macklemore debuted over the weekend on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, and we suspect Netsky will be playing it in heavy rotation while acting as musical ambassador at the Summer Olympics.
