Is Tony Stark Going To Cameo In Doctor Strange?

With Doctor Strange set to be the next Marvel film that hits theatres, fans have been trying to work out which of the Avengers might be stopping by for a cameo appearance. With Doctor Strange set to be the next Marvel film that hits theatres, fans have been trying to work out which of the Avengers might be stopping by for a cameo appearance. After all, this sort of thing seems to be the norm for movies in the MCU, and there’s no reason to think that the Sorcerer Supreme’s solo outing will be any different.

While Marvel has yet to confirm which of their iconic heroes will be showing up for a quick cameo, or perhaps even a small role, a new rumor points to it being Tony Stark that will feature, which makes sense given his status as being the current face of the MCU (though that’s soon to change).

/Film is reporting on a Tweet that brings the cameo to light, and you can check it out for yourself below:

What’s also interesting to note here is that even though Doctor Strange wrapped filming back in April, the following Tweet was posted by Benedict Wong earlier this week:

So, it appears that there may have been some reshoots or the addition of a post-credits scene to make room for Stark, given that filming wrapped in April but Wong’s Tweet confirms that he was still shooting as of August. Clearly there was a last minute change that needed to be made and as we just mentioned, it was either reshoots or a post-credits scene, likely to include Robert Downey Jr.

While not confirmed by any official source, it does make a lot of sense to have Stark appear here. After all, Doctor Strange is set in NYC, which is where the Avengers tower is located. How the character will factor into the film is obviously unknown, but hopefully it will be in a meaningful way and not just a cameo for the sake of having a cameo.

Doctor Strange will conjure its way into theatres on November 4th. Until then, tell us how you think Tony Stark will factor into things by dropping a comment below.
