No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games have finalized the first post-launch patch for their space exploration sim, which introduces several performance improvements for the PC version and “improves stability” for PlayStation 4 users, studio head Sean Murray has confirmed via Twitter.

As of writing, the update is now live for both platforms, but there’s no in-depth patch notes just yet – those are “incoming.” but the gist of it seems to be that the “PC build adds support for more hardware + improves frame rate at low spec. PS4 improves stability + lots more,” says Murray.

Continuing, Murray expresses his bewilderment at how many people have so far taken to exploring No Man’s Sky‘s universe, and that less than 1% of those have “raised support issues.” Despite the relatively small amount of affected users though, Murray says that they’re aiming to “resolve roughly 70% of them” by the end of this week.

So, with many issues plaguing No Man’s Sky seemingly now resolved, could it be that the studio will now start working on new features and potential DLC? Not just yet.

“We’re totally focused on customer support right now. Then we’ll move onto improving and adding features to the game,” Murray explained, so we’ve still got a potentially long wait to endure until we see the previously mentioned base-building and freight ship ownership features mentioned previously introduced.

Remember, patience is a virtue.
