There’s a lot we don’t know about The Dark Tower, but based on the limited information which has been revealed in recent months, it’s been made clear that the movie will essentially pick up where the books left off by bringing the story of gunslinger Roland Deschain to an end in a way which will satisfy fans and be accessible to newcomers to the world created by Stephen King.

That’s going to include a return for Jake Chambers, a character introduced in The Gunslinger. However, this version is going to be a few years older and have psychic abilities which make him a target for The Man in Black.

Despite those changes, it seems like some things will stay the same; as you can see below, actor Tom Taylor has shared a new teaser image which features Jake in a location which looks an awful lot like the Mid-World way station where Roland first encounters the youngster in The Dark Tower series. It’s also captioned with a quote which will be instantly recognizable to fans.

What does this all mean? It’s hard to say, but there’s definitely enough here to get excited over. Plus, now that we know when the first footage from The Dark Tower will be released, some more details on the long overdue adaptation will hopefully be revealed sooner rather than later.

Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, The Dark Tower is currently set to be released on February 17th, 2017.
