Shia LaBeouf has a problem. It’s known as not keeping your mouth shut and often, it can get you into a lot of trouble. He’s been known to run his mouth in the past and recently, in an interview with Details the actor was at it again. This time he dished on Megan FoxTom Hardy and why he passed on The Social Network.

First off, LaBeouf decided to throw former Transformers co-star Megan Fox under the bus. When asked if they ever hooked up on set, LaBeouf nodded his head and replied:

“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them,” he explains to Details. “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”

When the magazine pressed him harder and asked about Fox’s relationship with Brian Austin Green (who later became her husband) at the time that LaBeouf was hooking up with her, he became uncomfortable and said “I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know…It was what it was.”

While Details is at fault for prying a bit too much, LaBeouf is also to blame here. He could have avoided the question or changed the topic but instead he acts a bit immature. His comments imply that Fox may have cheated on Green which can cause for some serious problems in Megan’s current love life.

The actor then goes on to dish about another one of his flings, this one with Adrien Grenier‘s girlfriend, Isabel Lucas, during the shoot of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. “It was sort of disastrous. Neither one of us, I think, were in love. Just sort of experimenting or whatever,” said LaBeouf.

Shia has been known to criticize some of his own films in the past and this time, he takes a jab at Oliver Stone‘s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

“He’s trying to play nice. But for a movie like ‘Wall Street’ that had so much bite the first time around to come out without fangs and preach a message of hope wasn’t what people were looking for.”

A few years ago he spoke on Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, a film that was panned by critics and one that LaBeouf wasn’t too proud of either. Harrison Ford, who starred as Indiana Jones, got pretty annoyed with his co-star when he started making negative remarks about the film.

“I told him he was a fucking idiot,” Ford says. “As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film without making a complete ass of myself. Shia is ambitious, attentive, and talented—and he’s learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult.”

Seeing as LaBeouf was on a role with Details, he decided not to let up. Instead, he put a new target in his sights, actor Tom Hardy. The two are currently at work on The Wettest Country In The World and Shia told the magazine that:

“He [Tom] will say what he feels, almost too much so. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and it can sometimes blow back. But it’s the same thing that also lets him access the truth of his emotions.”

To top it all of, he told the magazine that when offers for films like The Bourne Legacy127 Hours and The Social Network came across his desk, he passed them up. Why? They weren’t up to his standards.

“I’m looking for Warren Beatty—type game changers,” said the actor who is currently “changing the game” with Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, which hits theatres tomorrow.

All mocking aside, I actually like LaBeouf quite a bit. I think he’s a terrific young actor who is very watchable in just about every role he’s ever had. Admittedly, he’s making a bit of a fool of himself here with these uncalled for comments but he’s still young and he obviously has a lot to learn.

That being said, when your Shia LaBeouf, does it really matter what you say? He’s one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood and foolish comments like these won’t change anything. Studios will still be after him for their blockbusters.

At only 25 years old he’s still pretty young and hopefully over time he’ll mature a bit and learn when to keep his mouth shut. Until then, we can always count on an interesting interview from the man whose biggest claim to fame used to be playing the lead role on Even Stevens.
