Lara Croft will finally return to her family home later this year in Rise of the Tomb Raider‘s Blood Ties DLC, and Microsoft has given fans their first good look at Croft Manor in all its dilapidated glory with a brand-new trailer.
Releasing for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11 and included in the 20 Year Celebration Edition for PlayStation 4 owners, Blood Ties features “over an hour of new story” for fans to experience according to the post on Xbox Wire, and tasks players with exploring the manor’s dusty corridors and hidden crawlspaces in order for Lara to “prove that she is the rightful heir in the wake of her father’s death.”
In addition to new story content, Blood Ties also introduces the Lara’s Nightmare mode, which introduces a spot of zombie slaying into the mix. In this side mission, Lara has to fend off the undead horde and protect her childhood home. The survival mission is fully replayable and “filled with new challenges.”
Lastly, Endurance Mode has been spiced-up with the inclusion of co-op support, meaning you and a friend can finally live out the dream of exploring abandoned tombs together for the treasures hidden within.
