Consider it a rumor no more – John Turturro’s The Big Lebowski spinoff, which entered development inconspicuously last week bearing the title Going Places, is officially a thing with a new set pic showcasing the actor reprising the role of Jesus Quintana.

Once believed to be little more than a hopeful pipe dream – neither the Coen brothers nor Jeff Bridges appeared to be very interested in the offshoot – it looks as though the perseverance of Turturro has paid dividends, with the official teaser revealing that said feature will center on “two petty thieves, Turturro’s Jesus and Cannavale’s Petey, who compete to give a woman (Tautou) her first orgasm after she’s roped into their hijinks. Sarandon also ends up in their company, playing a criminal who just got out after a long stint in prison.” Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou and Susan Sarandon are also on board.

Here’s a first peek at the long-rumored Big Lebowski spinoff in action. Nobody fucks with The Jesus:

Initially unveiled as a remake of 1974 French film Les Valseuses, Going Places is now all but confirmed to be a continuation of the Big Lebowski story. There’s no word yet on whether Jeff Bridges will reprise as The Dude, though given that Turturro’s passion project appears to focus on Jesus first and foremost, fans of the White Russian aficionado can hope for some form of cameo at best.
