GRiZ Announces Fifth Studio Album Good Will Prevail

After releasing his last single "Before I Go" earlier in the month, future funk producer GRiZ has returned with a major announcement, revealing the title and release date of his upcoming fifth studio album, dubbed Good Will Prevail. Following up on a busy year in 2015 that saw the release of his latest full length effort Say It Loud, a killer mixtape and constant touring, it's a wonder GRiZ had time to write and record another full length record.

Taking to Facebook, GRiZ dropped a lengthy note about the inspiration behind his latest work, stating that the upcoming album serves as a positive reminder that there is still good in the world in a time where social unrest seems so prevalent.

To coincide with the album announcement, GRiZ has shared a new single titled “Cant Hold Me Down,” featuring vocals from Tash Neal of rock band The London Souls. The new song is every bit as funky as you’d expect, with soaring guitar licks, crashing percussion and soulful crooning. The retro instrumental elements are blended with modern production points, while a swanky sax solo takes over in the middle of the track.

Good Will Prevail is scheduled for release on September 23. While you wait for it, you can check out GRiZ‘s full announcement below:
