Watch The Chainsmokers Perform “Closer” With Halsey At MTV’s VMAs

To say that it's been a big year for NYC-based duo The Chainsmokers would be an understatement. The crossover artists have seen massive success in the mainstream lately with tracks like "Roses," "Don't Let Me Down" and now their latest hit, "Closer," which features Halsey on vocals (along with Drew Taggart).

To say that it’s been a big year for NYC-based duo The Chainsmokers would be an understatement. The crossover artists have seen massive success in the mainstream lately with tracks like “Roses,” “Don’t Let Me Down” and now, their latest hit, “Closer,” which features Halsey on vocals (along with Drew Taggart).

With the song recently entering the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it was only appropriate that the guys perform it like last night at the MTV VMAs, where they took to the stage along with Halsey to show off a live rendition of the hit single.

With Drew assisting on vocals and Alex manning the decks, it was another well executed televised performance, following in the footsteps of their recent appearance on The Tonight Show earlier this year. It was also another milestone for the guys in what seems to be an unstoppable streak and as The Chainsmokers only continue to grow in popularity and prominence, we can’t wait to see what they bring us next.

Take a look at a clip from the live performance of “Closer” below and let us know what you think of the song by dropping a comment.
