“Whole Heart” opens with a quiet introduction, featuring dreamy chords and Bipolar Sunshine’s gentle singing. Minimal percussion soon joins the mix alongside the strums of an acoustic guitar, leading into soaring drops with trap style rhythms and stuttered synth chords. The production keeps its focus narrow to zero in on the songwriting, making the dance segues all the more satisfying when they appear.

Gryffin’s newest work is a delight to listen to, expanding on the sound he developed on his first single while taking its summery appeal to the next level, aided by Bipolar Sunshine’s pristine vocal delivery.
