New Batman: Arkham VR Behind The Scenes Video Details How You’ll Become The Dark Knight

With that said, there's certainly been a promising start for the likes of PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive in regards to already announced software. Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 7 has every chance of being a huge hit for virtual reality, as does Rocksteady's own Batman: Arkham VR.

Rocksteady Studios’ critically acclaimed Arkham series almost single-handedly proved that video games and comic book characters can be spliced together to create something that isn’t terrible (looking at you, Superman 64), but now, the developer is attempting to go one better by doing the same with VR.

Being that virtual reality games are still very much in their infancy, there’s still a great deal of uncertainty in regards to whether the technology will ever become a household staple, or whether it’ll go the way of motion-controlled gaming, AKA the Kinect and PlayStation Move.

A new behind the scenes video released by the studio today goes into greater detail about the title’s development process, and how it will be the first time that players can truly become the Caped Crusader.

A few short snippets of gameplay show how you’ll manually don Batman’s iconic suit, as well as utilize the so-called Detective Mode from previous Arkham titles to analyze and deduce why and how crimes have been committed.
