With PlayStation VR set to release in less than a couple of months, Sony Entertainment has begun to roll out more and more information on upcoming PSVR titles. Earlier today, we reported on the upcoming Batman: Arkham VR, the upcoming ‘VR experience’ set in the Arkham series of games. If you’re looking for something a little more fast-paced however, you might want to turn your attention towards RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, the newest title from UK developer Guerrilla Cambridge.

Up until now, RIGS has been shown off in trailers and at gaming conventions, with much of the focus on the its multiplayer mode. As a dedicated virtual reality title, RIGS puts players in control of giant robotic suits, as they compete in a handful of arena-style combat events. One mode in particular tasks players with jumping through large hoops in order to score points for their own team. The game’s extensive multiplayer offering allows for traditional three-on-three matches, along with a one-on-one mode, with AI partners jumping in to fill out the rest of your roster.

Today, Sony and Guerrilla Cambridge have pulled back the curtain on the game’s single-player experience, which comes in the form of a Career Mode. By putting together a team, you’ll be able to rise through the titular Mechanized Combat League in order to earn fame and fortune, as well as gain access to new pilots and Rigs.

If you want to learn more about RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, be sure to check out the video above, which features some behind-the-scenes insight from Guerrilla Cambridge staff. If you want to get your hands on the full release, you’ll have to wait until October 13, when it is set to launch alongside PlayStation VR. Unlike some other titles which feature separate VR modes, RIGS is only playable with PSVR headsets.
