We’ve caught the odd glimpse of Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Odin (Anthony Hopkins) on the set of Thor: Ragnarok, but some new behind the scenes photos have emerged today which offer up our first proper look at the three leads suited up in some very interesting new duds.
While the God of Mischief doesn’t look too out of the ordinary, Thor is sporting a costume which is quite a bit different to what we’ve seen during his previous big screen appearances. If anything, this armour looks a lot less ceremonial than past versions and more along the lines of what you might expect the God of Thunder to wear after spending an extended period of time in Asgard.
[zergpaid]Odin, meanwhile, is also looking different to what we’re used to, but after he was recently spotted on set looking like an old homeless man, this could be a sign that he returns to Asgard. Alternatively, this Odin may very well just be Loki in disguise, as Thor: The Dark World did after all conclude with him on the throne posing as his adoptive father.
So far, Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most unique movies to date. It’s certainly going to be a departure from previous instalments in the franchise and exploring the dynamic between the trio above promises to be a lot of fun, especially as it seems like they’ll be forced to team up to stop the universe from being destroyed by Hela.
Also starring Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3rd, 2017.
