Though the movie isn’t going to be out for another couple of weeks, “Back To Life” should be able to hold you over until then. Speaking about the creation of the song, Keys said that the inspiration for it came from Mutesi’s powerful story, and that when women are empowered, the world changes. The ballad is indeed powerful, and Keys’ voice shines throughout.

Queen of Katwe, which stars Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo, is making its world premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on September 10th before heading over to the United States on September 23rd.

Alicia Keys released another new song, “In Common,” back in May, and it’s expected to come off her new full-length that’ll be out in the near future. Until that drops though, check out “Back To Life” above and let us know what you think.
