The initial showcase for Call of Duty XP may be over, but the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare news keeps on coming.
Nipping at the heels of the first multiplayer trailer – not to mention an extended overview of Infinite Warfare‘s online modes and the overhauled Terminal map – we now have news of Jackal Assault, a free spinoff title exclusive to PlayStation VR. No footage was made publicly available from the fan event, but we’ve included a screenshot of the Jackal – an airborne vehicle that players will be able to control using PSVR – in the gallery above.
Speaking of which, The Mac Life reveals that UFC champ Conor McGregor will have a role in the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. No word yet on who he’s playing, but the Irish fighter now joins Games of Thrones star Kit Harington, who signed on as the shooter’s central villain many moons ago. Furthermore, there’s also a pair of new screenshots from that newly-unveiled multiplayer component, shedding light on the all-new Combat Rigs that will no doubt shake up the online battlefield come November.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare deploys for duty across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 4. In terms of Jackal Assault, it’ll be free to those who own Sony’s PlayStation VR headset. Expect that new hardware to launch across the globe on October 13 priced at $400.
